I have not been overly impressed with any of the Presidential candidates, from either/any party, until now. Grateful to hear the formal announcement of Mr. Thompson's entry in the race, I have elected to publicly support his campaign - hoping that this election will help in making his election happen. As you can see I've started by placing a "Friends of Fred Thompson" contribution widget on this website, as I will do on many of the other sites I control. Those of you who agree with his no-nonsense message "Security · Unity · Prosperity" please join me in supporting Fred Thompson's Presidential campaign.

I think his announcements, both the formal message on his website and the Leno guest spot parts one and two, are direct, earnest and worth watching. His positions on Iraq, social security, America's leadership role and responsibilities - these positions (and more) are reasoned, rational and articulated better than any other individual in the race. Its refreshing and, for the first time since the late 1980s, I have cause to hope in our prospects for the leader of the free world.
