Description

An essential component of Chef Lee's Bread Pudding, this sauce can be used anywhere you need a smooth yet rich, non-glazing Vanilla topping.

Ingredients

  • 1 Egg (Beaten)
  • 3 T Brown Sugar (Light or Dark)
  • 1⁄2 c Sugar
  • 2 T Butter (Melted)
  • 1 T Flour
  • 1 t Vanilla Extract
  • 1 ds Nutmeg
  • 1 1⁄4 c Whipping Cream

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in the top of a double boiler. Cook, stirring until thickened.
