Description
This an all important and often missed category of the 5 basic food groups: the martini. The below was sampled by a gaggle of friends fully qualified in judging such things and all agreed it was pretty tasty. There are a couple of variations, but the basic recipe comes from High Cotton and Pane E Vino restaurants in Charleston SC.
Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 oz Stoli® Vanil Vodka
- 1⁄2 oz Starbucks® Cream Liquer
- 3 Coffee Beans (for Garnish)
- 2 1⁄2 oz EspreXXO Ultimo 19/90 Vodka
Instructions
In a shaker filled with ice mix all of the above and strained into a pre-chilled martini glass. The rim may be coated with freshed ground espresso beans for added impact. Garnish with beans.
Notes
Ultimo is a high-octane vodka at 90 Proof and loaded with a jolt of caffeine (19 mg of caffeine per 50 ml). It may take much experimentation to get it right for your tastes, but it is worth the effort!
